BLUE GOOSE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT CORP. WILL DESIGN, BUILD AND MANAGE AFFORDABLE RESIDENTIAL PROPERTIES IN THE BLUE GOOSE NEIGHBORHOOD.
We plan to develop available properties in the neighborhood. The neighborhood will be transformed into a diverse, sustainable, luxurious mixed-income community. Building designs will utilize historic housing elements, while creating space for increased population density. Some properties will be rental properties, while others will be available for purchase.
The outcome – or service – resulting from the Blue Goose Community Development project will be the ongoing, integrated involvement of existing neighbors and new residents who, in the past, may have been excluded from community development projects due to gentrification, discrimination, or socioeconomic factors. Residents of the Blue Goose Neighborhood will buy from Blue Goose business in order to support their own community. When the neighborhood project is complete, residents will finally see and participate in an influx of revenue into their own community again. This development will, hopefully, become a catalyst for other projects of renewal that can be duplicated across the country. The Blue Goose will provide more than a village; it will provide hope that communities can be restored.
RESIDENCES AT BLUE GOOSE
BGDC will facilitate the construction of a variety of mixed-income housing. These will include zero lot line houses, row houses, and larger single-family homes. Each lot will maintain its original 40’ x 70’ lot size. The development will offer properties to rent and to own. We plan to build 150-200 residences in four construction phases.
